The department of support and development of medical services has signed an agreement to operate the Infertility and Fertility Treatment Center at the Golden Clinics Complex, Airport Road, with the support of the Government of National Unity, Aims: bring hope to Libyan families by providing advanced medical solutions for infertility and fertility-related issues

The department of support and development of medical services has signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian GKS-D Company to manage and operate public hospitals, to develop the healthcare system in Libya with sponsorship from the Government of National Unity

The department of support and development of Medical Services supervised the execution of thousands of precise and complex surgeries across various medical specialties, in collaboration with national staff and through the recruitment of visiting doctors from abroad, with the support of the Government of National Unity

After an absence of over 9 years from Libya, and In reference to Decision No. “315” of 2024, the Government of National Unity supports the signing of a partnership agreement between the Department of Support and Development of Medical Services and the leading German company, Atobok, specializing in the manufacturing of prosthetic limbs. For operation and training of national staff at the National Prosthetics Center in Misrata and the Abu Selim Accident Hospital

The Medical Services Support and Development Authority signed a partnership agreement with the Slovakian company Axis, specialized in physiotherapy, to operate several health centers in Libya. This marks a significant achievement since 2011, with the support of the Government of National Unity, as per the following decisions:

To ensure the inclusion of this segment in society, the Government of National Unity, along with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, supports the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Department of Support and Development of Medical Services and the General Authority for the Solidarity Fund to provide medical services, to offer medical and technical support to patients

In a qualitative leap in the healthcare sector in Libya, the Government of National Unity authorizes the Department of Support and Development of Medical Services, through Decision No. “530” of 2024, to sign a 15-year contract with the Qatari holding company “Elegancia” to manage and operate 6 healthcare facilities and hospitals, with comprehensive oversight by the Department on the preparation of these healthcare facilities

In reference to the Government of National Unity’s Decision No. “649” of 2024, and with the support and follow-up of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Department of Support and Development of Medical Services has signed a contract with Al Jalila Children’s Hospital in the United Arab Emirates to provide gene therapy for 17 patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). A contract has also been made with the company “AMD” to provide treatment services within the hospital

With the aim of providing the best medical care, and with the support of the Government of National Unity, under the follow-up of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Audit Bureau, the Department of Support and Development of Medical Services has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Global Medical Center in Egypt to send 10 children under the age of two from the group of muscular dystrophy patients and provide them with the necessary gene therapy

The Manager of the department of Support and development of Medical Services, Dr. “Ahmed Mletan”, held a meeting with the Director of the Misrata Heart Disease Center, representatives from Elegancia Qatari Healthcare, and the center’s management. During the meeting, the latest updates on the preparations for the inauguration of the Heart Center were presented. This initiative aims to provide specialized cardiac care services to citizens as part of the domestic healthcare localization project

The Manager of the department of Support and development of Medical Services, Dr. “Ahmed Mletan”, signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Director of the Medical Manpower Development Center, Dr. Mostafa Baiou, aiming to train, develop, and qualify medical and paramedical personnel working in public healthcare institutions. The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity inaugurates the Artificial Eye Manufacturing Department at the National Center for Prosthetics in the city of Misrata, with the participation of the Manager of the department of Support and development of Medical Services, This initiative comes as part of efforts to enhance medical services for people with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care they deserve

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity attends the launch of foreign operations at the Misrata Center for Cardiology, Vascular, and Blood Diseases, the center will be operated under the supervision of the Qatari healthcare company “Elegancia,” in accordance with Prime Minister Decision No. (530) of 2024. This decision authorizes the Healthcare Support and Development Authority to contract the company for the operation of several healthcare facilities in the country for a period of 15 years, aimed at improving medical services in Libya
